About Hot Toys

Hot Toys figures are highly detailed collectibles best known for their realistic portraits, tailored costumes and character-specific accessories. Most of the company’s character figures are made in one-sixth scale, commonly written as 1/6 scale, so a typical human character stands about 12 inches tall.

One Sixth Society brings the announcements, buying information, original reviews and videos together here. Use this archive to compare releases and find the coverage you need.

Find a Hot Toys Figure by Character and Edition

Each page can include the official product code, scale, expected release window, height, accessories and product photos. Use the filters to narrow the collection by universe or character, then open a figure for its full specifications and related coverage.

If you are deciding what to reserve next, start with the Hot Toys preorders page. For an independent look at figures after release, browse our Hot Toys reviews. You can also watch close-up coverage in the figure videos library or follow announcements and collector features on the One Sixth Society blog.

Collecting Guides and Hot Toys History

A promotional photo is only part of the story. Our guides cover the company’s history, caring for your collection and the artists behind the figures. What to Check Before You Preorder

Check the exact product code and edition before ordering. Standard, deluxe, special and artisan versions can come with different accessories.

Check the listed height, width and depth. Armor, wings, vehicles and large bases can need much more shelf space than a standard figure.

Compare the accessories, display base and estimated release window with the retailer’s listing. Shipping dates can change. Read the seller’s current deposit, cancellation and delivery terms before paying.

Different Releases for Different Collections

The same character can look very different in a film, game or comic. Weapon X CMS034 uses the laboratory imagery of the comics, while the Wolverine VGM91 and VGM92 releases use the game’s Battle Reborn suit. Choose the costume and proportions that suit your Wolverine collection.

The range extends beyond superheroes, from Neo MMS868 from The Matrix to the designer-toy style of Space Worker Baby AMC041.

Hot Toys also makes figures in other scales. Han Solo QS026 is a quarter-scale release, while the LMS016 Grogu is life-size for the character. Check their actual dimensions if you plan to display them beside sixth-scale figures.

Common Hot Toys Collecting Questions

What Are Hot Toys?

The company makes licensed character collectibles. Its Movie Masterpiece Series includes detailed one-sixth scale figures, alongside releases in other sizes and formats.

How Big Is a Sixth-Scale Figure?

A typical one-sixth scale human figure is roughly 12 inches tall, but the actual height depends on the character, footwear, armor and source material. Larger characters and quarter-scale releases require substantially more display space.

What Affects the Price?

The sculpt, paint, costume, moving joints and accessories all contribute to the price. Licensing and production costs matter too. Larger figures and more complex editions can cost more.

Where Can You Buy Hot Toys?

Availability varies by region. Compare authorized retailers, shipping costs, deposit rules, cancellation policies and customer-service reputation before ordering. One Sixth Society publishes information and commentary; it is not a retailer.

Is Collecting Right for You?

Choose figures that fit your budget, display space and interest in the character. Detailed portraits, costumes and accessories may matter more to you than completing a whole line. Resale value is uncertain, so buy for enjoyment rather than a promised return.
