National Entertainment Collectibles Association, or NECA for short is an American collectibles company that has been on the scene for more than a decade. With a massive list of acquired licenses and a variety of products being produced, they are certainly a company to know of.

While they do not make one sixth scale figures, their products are still extremely high quality. Whether it is a 1/12th scale figure of Vasquez from Aliens, or a 1/4th Scale Posable figure of Donatello from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Their figures are unique, and good quality.

NECA Figures and Pricing

NECA’s acquisition of a large amount of extremely popular licenses like Terminator and Predator have allowed it to become a household name. It is not uncommon to see their offerings on store shelves, or in any number of online retailers. Their availability is not however an indication of their quality. Especially in recent years their quality control has become top notch, creating astounding figures that are affordable.

When discussed in conjunction against a company like Hot Toys, there are key differences. Scale and price are clear differences, but quality really is becoming much more narrow. Obviously a 6-7 inch figure that is being mass produced can’t maintain the quality that a $200 - $300 dollar Hot Toys figure would, but the amount of care and quality that goes into those pieces is still apparent. Their quarter scale figures more so, costing roughly $99 dollars MSRP, Their 1/4 scale figures are true works of art demonstrating quality paint and sculptural work.
