Why Collectors Compared It With Dawn of Justice Batman
The Suicide Squad release revisited Ben Affleck’s Batman with several familiar accessories from the earlier Dawn of Justice figure. Our original comparison describes the grenade launcher, batarangs, grappling gun and interchangeable face parts, alongside a different cape and display arrangement. That is why the two releases can look very similar in a close-up of the cowl.
The larger cape, extended support pole and rebreather are the more useful identifiers for the Suicide Squad version. The rebreather refers to Batman’s rescue of Harley Quinn; it is not the tech-cowl accessory associated with an exclusive Dawn of Justice package. The earlier exclusive rifle also should not be assumed to belong in this box.
For a secondhand example, compare the actual cape, base and accessory tray with the correct release. A seller’s photograph of a custom flying display may combine parts from more than one figure.
