Identifying the Quarter-Scale Movie Leonardo
NECA described this Leonardo as the third quarter-scale figure in its 1990 movie-Turtle series. At approximately 16.5 inches tall, with 30 points of articulation, he is a much larger collectible than the smaller movie figures sold in other NECA ranges. The blue mask and focused expression identify the team’s leader.
The manufacturer’s inventory lists two katana that fit the scabbards on the back, an unbroken mutagen canister, a pizza slice and interchangeable hands. The condition of the canister is a useful distinction: it should not be confused with the damaged version associated with Donatello. Their shared movie style does not mean their loose accessories are identical.
The swords can be displayed drawn or stored, which changes how much space Leonardo occupies beside the other Turtles. Use the correct box and accessory list when researching a secondhand example.
