NECA’s quarter-scale Leonardo brings the blue-masked leader from the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film to the same range as his brothers. This video accompanies our written review.
A Serious Leonardo Portrait
The focused expression, blue mask and bright eyes were highlights of the review. Fabric bandana tails add texture behind the sculpted head.
The body closely follows Donatello and Raphael, with raised arm veins, different skin markings and changes to the rear shell. The reviewer liked the sculpt despite wanting more variation between the brothers.
Katanas and Accessories
Leonardo includes two katanas, a pizza slice, an unbroken ooze canister and interchangeable hands. NECA lists him at 16.5 inches tall with 30 points of articulation.
The joints on the reviewed sample were tight. The original assessment was otherwise positive, especially for collectors building the four-Turtle lineup.
Reading Leonardo’s Expression
The focused head sculpt gives Leonardo a different mood from Michelangelo’s grin or Raphael’s sneer. That distinction does much of the work when the four share similar bodies. The original written review describes paint variation and scratches on the rear shell as well as the raised veins on the arms, so the back deserves a look too. For a team purchase, compare those finishes across the figures rather than expecting four completely different body sculpts. For Leonardo alone, the face and twin swords are the strongest reasons to choose him over another Turtle from the range.
