Chronicle Collectibles’ half-scale RoboCop bust impressed our reviewer with armor that shifts from blue-silver toward purple in the light. This video accompanies the written review of the 300-piece release.
Armor Paint and Portrait
The reflective armor finish was the standout feature. The glossy black visor and visible lower face also worked well, with the reviewer finding Peter Weller’s likeness in the exposed mouth and chin.
The circular stand carries the RoboCop logo and borrows shapes from the armor. Its design suits the bust rather than looking like a plain support.
The Edition Number
On the reviewed example, the edition number was printed on foam underneath the stand. The reviewer added felt risers to reduce rubbing against that surface. Those risers were a personal modification, not an included accessory.
The large art box uses film imagery and an OCP logo. The original review’s verdict was enthusiastic, especially about the paintwork.
The box has raised RoboCop lettering on the front, with the three Prime Directives printed around the sides. The back combines movie stills with a black-and-white picture of the bust, while the top uses the full Omni Consumer Products name. The video turns the box to show each panel.
Helmet, Face and Presentation
RoboCop leaves very little of Peter Weller’s face exposed, making the mouth and chin unusually important to the likeness. Watch those features as closely as the metallic helmet finish. The written review also describes the large OCP-themed art box and the armor-inspired base. They give this bust its own presentation without needing a full figure alongside it. The reviewer added felt risers to protect the edition marking on the foam underside from rubbing off and to help the bust slide on a smooth surface.
The Base Before Assembly
Before the bust is fitted, the video turns the base around on its own. You can see the socket for the locating pin, the raised support at the back and the sculpted mechanical shapes around the sides. Showing that piece separately makes it easier to understand how much of the final display belongs to the base rather than RoboCop’s chest.
The underside close-up records this sample as number 49 in the 300-piece edition. Later side and rear views show the dark openings below the shoulders, the back of the helmet and the point where the bust rests against its support. The quoted overall size is about 15 inches tall, with a stated weight of 11 pounds.
