What Comes in the Box

This set includes both the Power Loader and the exclusive battle-damaged Ellen Ripley. The loader is also sold on its own; the two packages are listed below in that order.

The loader takes most of the space, but you have two ways to show this set: Ripley at the controls or standing beside it on her own base. Decide which scene you want before choosing the shelf.

A Closer Look at Ellen Ripley and Power Loader

This Ripley is dressed for the end of Aliens. The torn white shirt, blood on the portrait and battered shoes belong with the loader and the airlock fight. If the final confrontation is the scene you want to collect, the figure’s appearance is part of the reason to choose this package.

The missing shoe is a particularly good detail. Hot Toys supplies a dark gray sock that replaces the right shoe, to match the moment when she loses her shoe at the airlock. It is a small accessory beside a machine this large, but it is one of the easiest ways to distinguish this version of Ripley from a cleaner display.

The sculpted hair also matters when choosing among Ripley releases. This figure has a sculpted curly hairstyle; it is not the separately sold Artisan version. The announcement specifies blood applications on the portrait and separately adjustable eyes. Use the close-up gallery images to judge the face and expression you prefer, rather than assuming that every current Ripley has the same presentation.

The Figure Included With This Set

Hot Toys lists a silicone upper body with 18 articulation points. The shoulders and exposed arms therefore have a different visual treatment from a body with obvious shoulder joints. That is particularly relevant here because the torn shirt leaves much of the upper body on show.

The eight interchangeable hands cover relaxed hands, joystick grips, gun grips, an open left hand and an accessory-holding right hand. The joystick pair is the important one for the loader scene. The presence of gun-holding hands does not mean firearms are included: no pulse rifle, flamethrower or other gun appears in this set’s published packing list.

The grenade harness and wristwatch are included, along with a metal-grating-style stand. That stand is useful if you want Ripley outside the cockpit, where the clothing and footwear are much easier to see. It also means that the figure does not have to remain inside the loader whenever the set is on display.

Choosing Between the Set and Separate Releases

The standalone Power Loader MMS924 contains the same listed machine features: articulated limbs and claws, an opening roll cage, sliding joysticks, a working harness and USB-C lighting. This set adds its exclusive battle-damaged Ripley and her listed belongings. It does not add the entire accessory selection from every other Ripley release.

The separately sold Ripley versions are another purchase decision. Compare their costumes and accessories with the scene you want to recreate. Buying the loader separately may suit someone who already has an operator in mind. Choose this set for Ripley’s bloodied portrait and torn-shirt appearance from the finale.

The Queen is not part of either Power Loader package. Hot Toys uses her in promotional photographs to show the scale of the confrontation, but those photos are a display suggestion. If the whole scene is your goal, budget and measure for the Queen separately instead of reading “set” as a bundle of everything in the picture.

Getting the Most From the Cockpit Details

The protective cage, blue restraints and controls make the operator’s position worth taking time over. A slight turn of Ripley’s head can keep her face visible behind the bars. Adjusting her eyes toward the target makes more sense for the confrontation than leaving them aimed away from the claws.

The loader has orange lighting at the warning beacon and white illumination inside the cage. Those are two distinct lighting areas, so the cockpit detail need not disappear when the rest of the display is dark. Both use USB power; Hot Toys calls for a USB-C cable and says the connecting cable is not supplied. Plan the cable route along with the position of the machine.

The yellow finish is deliberately worn rather than factory-clean. Look across the arms, feet and rear frame in the gallery: the exposed wiring and weathering are a large part of the machine’s appearance. A three-quarter display angle can show more of that construction while still keeping Ripley visible. Turning the loader slightly is often a more useful starting point than spreading every limb as far as possible.

Release Information

Hot Toys Ellen Ripley and Power Loader is currently listed by Sideshow for US shipping in June–December 2027. Hot Toys gives a manufacturer release window of Q3–Q4 2027. These are separate estimates, not a confirmed dispatch day; Sideshow also notes that an individual order may ship as late as March 2028. The retailer window is the date shown in the buyer card above.

Hot Toys and Secret Base releases in Hong Kong can reach local buyers before US stock arrives. Overseas freight and retailer processing account for that gap; the roughly 6–8 weeks collectors often allow is a guide, not a guaranteed lead time for this release.
