Hot Toys returns to Aliens for a new Ellen Ripley sixth scale figure based on Sigourney Weaver’s battle-ready appearance during the rescue mission into the Xenomorph hive. This page covers the Deluxe Version, Hot Toys MMS895, which adds an Ovomorph and a connecting tendril display to the standard release.

The figure is listed at approximately 11.81 inches tall and uses a body with seamless silicone arms and 18 points of articulation. Its newly developed portrait has separate rolling eyes and a sculpted black curly shag hairstyle. The tailoring recreates Ripley’s weathered white sleeveless shirt, light blue-gray pants and battle-worn Reebok Alien Stompers.

What makes the Ellen Ripley Deluxe Version different?

The MMS895 Deluxe Version includes the complete figure, weapons and Xenomorph-remains display base from the Collector Edition, then adds two scene-building pieces: a detailed Ovomorph, or Xenomorph egg, and a tendril-themed base made to connect with the main diorama base. Together they create a larger hive display and give collectors a clearer reason to choose Deluxe beyond the figure itself.

This is not the Artisan Edition. MMS895 uses a meticulously sculpted hairstyle. The limited MMS896AE Artisan Edition Deluxe Version changes that key detail to hand-implanted wool hair and is limited to 3,000 units in selected markets. The figure and Deluxe hive accessories are otherwise closely related, so the decision comes down to rooted-hair presentation, availability and price.

Collector, Deluxe and Artisan comparison

For most collectors, MMS895 is the middle-ground choice: it provides the expanded hive display without requiring the maintenance or higher cost associated with rooted hair. The standard MMS894 is better for a tighter shelf, while the Artisan release is aimed at collectors who prioritize portrait realism and limited availability.

Release window

The Ellen Ripley Deluxe Version has an estimated Apr 2027 – Sep 2027 shipping window. Release dates can move as production develops, and prototype photos may differ slightly from the final figure. Confirm the current price and schedule before ordering.

Is MMS895 right for your collection?

MMS895 makes the most sense for an Aliens display where the Ovomorph and tendril base will be visible. The combined base needs more room than the figure alone, but it also gives Ripley a stronger narrative setting beside an Alien Warrior or Alien Queen. If cabinet space is limited and the extra hive pieces would remain boxed, the Collector Edition may be the more efficient purchase.
