Toys Era’s Colossus brings the metal-skinned Deadpool character to sixth scale. Our written review liked the large body and sculpting, but the sample had paint faults worth knowing about.
Sculpted Metal Lines
The restrained expression suits Colossus, and the lines across his metallic skin are sculpted into the body. At about 14.5 inches tall in the original review, he stands well above a typical sixth-scale human figure.
The solid boots and muscular body give him the right bulk. The review found a useful range of movement, with some restrictions.
Paint and Accessories
The reviewed figure had chipped paint on the nose and untidy marks elsewhere. Black marks on the red outfit were another concern, though the reviewer could not establish whether those were intentional weathering.
The package includes fists, open hands, handcuffs and a stand. The verdict favored the scale and sculpt, with a recommendation to inspect the finish before buying.
Size Versus Finish
Colossus needs to look physically different from the other characters, and the large body delivers that contrast. The metallic striping also makes paint quality particularly easy to notice: interruptions around the nose or armor-like bands can stand out against an otherwise smooth surface. The review’s criticisms apply to the sample examined, rather than proving that every copy has the same marks. When comparing examples, use close-ups taken under ordinary light as well as bright studio shots. A dramatic reflection can make the metal effect look impressive while concealing a small chip or uneven patch.
