JazzInc’s sixth-scale 1989 Batwing is a large display vehicle with a detailed cockpit, lights and a removable canopy. This video accompanies Jon Deak’s hands-on written review.
The Batwing’s Actual Size
JazzInc lists the vehicle at 44.92 inches long, 52.4 inches wide and 14.5 inches high. Its separate full-accessory measurements extend the length to about 45.7 inches and the height to about 16.9 inches.
The wings detach, and the included mount supports horizontal or vertical display. The cockpit has room for a Hot Toys DX09 Batman, which is not included.
Cockpit and Film Details
The original review singled out the cockpit and lighting. A magnetic canopy makes the interior accessible, while moving flaps, a Gatling gun and add-on clippers with a saw reproduce details from the film.
The wingspan and mounting requirements are the main practical drawbacks. Use the complete display measurements when choosing a support, including room to reach the cockpit and power connection.
Showing the Cockpit or the Silhouette
A horizontal arrangement gives a clearer view down into the cockpit; a vertical arrangement puts the Batwing’s outline on show. Those are two different reasons to own such a large vehicle. The removable canopy makes the interior worth displaying, particularly with a compatible Batman seated inside. Leave access to it rather than treating the vehicle as a flat wall decoration with a cockpit nobody can reach.
