JazzInc’s sixth-scale 1989 Batwing is a large display vehicle with a detailed cockpit, lights and a removable canopy. This video accompanies Jon Deak’s hands-on written review.
The Batwing’s Actual Size
JazzInc lists the vehicle at 44.92 inches long, 52.4 inches wide and 14.5 inches high. Its separate full-accessory measurements extend the length to about 45.7 inches and the height to about 16.9 inches.
The wings detach, and the included mount supports horizontal or vertical display. The cockpit has room for a Hot Toys DX09 Batman, which is not included.
Cockpit and Film Details
The original review singled out the cockpit and lighting. A magnetic canopy makes the interior accessible, while moving flaps, a Gatling gun and add-on clippers with a saw reproduce details from the film.
The wingspan and mounting requirements are the main practical drawbacks. Use the complete display measurements when choosing a support, including room to reach the cockpit and power connection.
Planning the Complete Display
Start with the full-accessory dimensions when choosing a display spot. The added equipment extends the quoted length and height, so measure for the complete setup you want to show. The width is another important part of that check: both wings need room in the assembled display. Detachable wings are useful when moving the vehicle, while the final position still needs to accommodate the whole Batwing.
Think about how you will reach the interior once it is in place. The magnetic canopy gives access to the cockpit, and the power connection needs to remain reachable too. A compatible DX09 Batman is a separate purchase, so include that figure in your plan if a seated pilot is part of the display you want. The optional clippers and saw change the equipment on display. Decide which film details you want fitted before measuring the complete arrangement. The moving flaps and removable canopy give the vehicle more to look at up close, while its broad outline gives it a different appeal from across the room.
Showing the Cockpit or the Silhouette
A horizontal arrangement gives a clearer view down into the cockpit; a vertical arrangement puts the Batwing’s outline on show. Those are two different reasons to own such a large vehicle. The removable canopy makes the interior worth displaying, particularly with a compatible Batman seated inside. Leave access to it rather than treating the vehicle as a flat wall decoration with a cockpit nobody can reach.
