Hot Toys Daredevil recreates the black suit from Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, with weathered areas exposing red beneath. Interchangeable cowl parts, lower faces and an unmasked portrait accompany his Billy Clubs.

The Standard Version comes with the items below.
The short Billy Clubs work well in a close fighting stance, with one held low and the other raised beside the cowl. Connecting them with the wire creates the nunchaku pose, but needs more room around the arms.
The Matt Murdock head and sunglasses offer a quieter alternative on the Hell’s Kitchen street base. The rainwater, pavement and manhole details are worth keeping visible, especially in a display photographed from above.
The black coating is part of Matt’s attempt to stay hidden during Fisk’s crackdown. Red showing through the worn areas makes the suit look repainted, rather than replaced, and the DD emblem gives it a stronger comic connection than the earlier television costume. Hot Toys also offers two levels of wear on the cowl.
Collectors following the costume changes can look back at our review of the earlier Daredevil figure. That red Netflix-era suit and this black Born Again version show two distinct periods of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil.
The black-and-red design is often compared with the Shadowland suit from the comics. Charlie Cox makes an important distinction in his discussion of Season 2: as the black paint wears away, the television costume develops its own appearance. The reference is useful, but it does not make this figure a direct adaptation of every event in the Shadowland comic.
That makes the wear part of the costume's story rather than random dirt applied to an otherwise new suit. A less worn cowl and a more exposed red surface suggest different stages of the same outfit. Matching the expression to the amount of visible damage gives the portrait a reason to look composed or exhausted.
The unmasked head is also worth considering beyond a standard accessory count. Matt's face is recognizable without the horns, and the sunglasses connect the costumed figure back to the lawyer beneath it. For collectors following Charlie Cox's portrayal, that connection is as important as the new chest emblem or the color of the suit.
Born Again was a Daredevil comic story before it became the title of the television series. The screen production has its own continuity, cast and costume development. A shared title or a visual reference to a comic does not mean the figure recreates that entire printed story. This release is Charlie Cox's television Daredevil, with the appearance identified in the product photographs.
The Season 2 production discussion places Matt under pressure from Mayor Wilson Fisk, who is using public power against vigilantes. That is a different kind of threat from meeting another costumed fighter on a rooftop. Matt's decision to conceal himself belongs to that situation, and the blackened suit makes sense as something done out of necessity.
For a collector following Cox's performance, the figure can represent that point in Matt's life without needing a full street battle. An unmasked pause or a guarded stance can show someone trying to work under pressure. Keep the face and chest readable, and the particular costume already supplies the setting. It is more specific than treating every Daredevil release as the same red-suited hero with a new accessory.
Hot Toys Daredevil is expected at US retailers in April–September 2027.
Buying from Hot Toys or Secret Base in Hong Kong usually means getting the figure around 6–8 weeks before US retailers. Overseas shipping accounts for that gap, but the timing varies by shipment.
