Steve Rogers is back with a black T-shirt, a brown jacket and a cracked Mjolnir. Hot Toys’ Avengers: Doomsday figure pairs a new Chris Evans portrait with interchangeable silicone arms and a light-up hammer. Standard MMS928 and Special Edition MMS928B share the same figure; MMS928B adds a life-size metal ring.
The ring is the difference between these two versions. The separate Deluxe announcement is covered below.
The Standard Figure
Includes both pairs of silicone arms and eight interchangeable hands for the compatible arm pair.
The cracked hammer has LED lighting and a translucent blue lightning effect. The character stand is also included.
One Collector Bonus
Adds a separate commemorative ring to the Standard Edition contents. It is a collector accessory, not another figure part.
Hot Toys describes the Special Edition as available in selected markets. Confirm the ring in the retailer’s listing before ordering.
The same approximately 12.2-inch Steve Rogers figure, Chris Evans head sculpt with movable eyes, two pairs of silicone arms, eight interchangeable hands, jacket, T-shirt, trousers, belt, shoes, illuminated Mjolnir, lightning effect and figure stand.
MMS928 · Also Included With MMS928B
Every left hand features Steve’s wedding ring. The separate life-size metal ring is exclusive to Special Edition MMS928B.
Start with the approximately 12.2-inch figure height, then allow extra clearance for the stand and any raised-hammer pose. The announcement does not provide the stand’s footprint.
The jacket-on portrait is one of the clearest views of the head sculpt. A lowered hammer keeps the weapon beside Steve and leaves his face unobstructed. It is also a more compact arrangement than the overhead pose shown in the gallery.
Removing the jacket exposes the upper arms and makes the black T-shirt look the focus. The pre-posed pair is useful when you want the fist and hammer grip without a visible wrist connection. For other hand gestures, use the interchangeable-hand arm pair and follow the finished figure’s instructions.
Hot Toys photographs Steve alongside its Doomsday Thor, including a hammer handoff-style setup. Thor is sold separately. If you are planning that pairing, our Hot Toys Thor MMS919 guide covers his figure and accessories. Leave room for both stands and Thor’s cape.
The civilian clothes are the immediate change here. There is no red, white and blue uniform in this set: the jacket, dark shirt and brown pants put the emphasis on Steve himself. Mjolnir provides the superhero connection, and the wedding ring is a small detail that carries through every left-hand option.
The portrait has mid-length, brushed-back hair and a full beard. Hot Toys specifies sculpted hair, so this is not an Artisan release with implanted hair. The close-ups show the hairline, beard texture and eye placement more clearly than the full-body photographs. Compare those views when judging the likeness; these are promotional images of a prototype.
There are two pairs of silicone arms. One pair has fully seamless, pre-posed ends for the fist and hammer-holding gestures. The other accepts the eight interchangeable hands. Those are separate systems included in the same package, rather than an upgrade reserved for the Special Edition.
That distinction matters most with the jacket removed. You can favor the continuous arm-and-hand appearance for the supplied fixed gestures, or choose the pair that supports hand swaps. The manufacturer has not supplied a detailed pose-limit guide, so the promotional stances should not be taken as permission to force the silicone into any position.
Mjolnir is included with both editions. The hammer has the cracked finish shown in the photographs, an LED light-up function and a translucent blue lightning effect. You do not need MMS928B to get the illuminated weapon.
Hot Toys has not identified the lighting’s power source in the announcement we could verify. We are leaving battery type and charging requirements unlisted until those details are confirmed. The dramatic lightning across the promotional artwork should also be distinguished from the physical translucent effect shown in the accessory overview.
MMS928B’s extra is a life-size metal ring. It is separate from the wedding-ring detail already present on the figure’s left hands. Hot Toys calls it a commemorative collector’s item; no ring size or numbered production limit has been supplied in the announcement.
If you mainly want the figure, both versions provide the same portrait, clothing, arm options and hammer. If the displayable ring matters to you, check that the retailer explicitly includes it rather than relying on a generic Steve Rogers product title.
Hot Toys has separately previewed a Steve Rogers Deluxe Version with an LED-lit Sentinel-themed diorama base. Its announcement also mentions a Special Edition ring for selected markets, with more details and regional preorder information to follow.
That Sentinel base is not part of the MMS928 or MMS928B accessory overviews on this page. We are not treating the Deluxe teaser as a complete specification list. Collectors deciding between the regular stand and the larger diorama should wait for the full Deluxe breakdown before assuming what carries over.
For the rest of the current lineup, browse our Hot Toys preorder guides. Each guide separates the figure’s confirmed contents from edition bonuses so you can plan a collection around the releases you actually want.
Hot Toys has announced Steve Rogers MMS928 and Special Edition MMS928B, but a shipping window and US retail price are awaiting confirmation. The release-date field on the official product page was blank when checked.
We could not confirm a matching Sideshow product or preview page. For now, See Current Price opens Sideshow’s homepage through our tracked link. Look for Steve Rogers from Avengers: Doomsday and check the edition before ordering; older Steve Rogers and Captain America figures are different releases.
Any future manufacturer release estimate may differ from a US retailer’s arrival window. Check the final retailer listing for its preorder terms, included bonus and delivery estimate.
Specifications and promotional photographs are from Hot Toys’ official Steve Rogers announcement and accessory overviews. Images show a prototype; final details are subject to change and licensor approval. Thor and the separately previewed Deluxe diorama are not included with the standard set.
