Collectors expected Hot Toys Logan figures after the 2017 film, but no official Hot Toys sixth scale line based on Logan was announced in the period covered by the original article. The reason was never established publicly, so licensing or production explanations should be treated as speculation.
The question collectors were asking in 2017
Logan gave collectors several visually distinct characters: an older Wolverine, Laura, Charles Xavier and Donald Pierce. Hot Toys had already produced Hugh Jackman Wolverine figures for earlier films, including The Wolverine and X-Men: Days of Future Past. That history made the absence of a 2017 movie line noticeable.
No verified explanation from Hot Toys
The original story considered timing, licensing and production constraints. Those are plausible industry factors, but the article did not have a manufacturer statement identifying the cause. A convention display space or a social-media remark also does not prove that a product reached development or approval.
The most accurate conclusion is simple: collectors wanted the characters, but the expected Hot Toys Logan figures did not materialize during that release cycle.

Later Wolverine figures are from different films
Hot Toys later made Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine from Deadpool & Wolverine. That is a different film and costume from the older Logan requested in 2017.
