AT-RT Measurements

The AT-RT measures approximately 17.32 inches long and 10.63 inches wide. Its height ranges from about 13 to 23.6 inches as the legs change position, so an upright walker needs much more overhead room than a crouched one. Those measurements cover the vehicle; check the seated driver and any raised weapon as well.

Driver and Walker Display

A mounted driver with his hands on the controls makes the most of this set. Beside the walker, the driver can also hold the DLT-20A rifle on his snow-themed stand. The assembled weight is not confirmed, so check it before using a glass shelf.

A Closer Look at Imperial Remnant AT-RT Driver and AT-RT

The worn armor and cold-weather clothing give this driver the look of an Imperial holdout. Rust and chipped paint cover the walker, too, so the figure and vehicle look as though they have been through the same campaign.

The Imperial Remnant AT-AT Driver comes from the same film, wearing a flight suit with a different helmet and breathing equipment. The two drivers suit a collection of Imperial vehicle crews.

The AT-RT began as a Republic reconnaissance walker during the Clone Wars. It carried a single trooper in an open cockpit and was built to move quickly across ground that could be difficult for infantry. Its size and exposed rider make it a very different vehicle from the enclosed AT-ST or the huge AT-AT.

That history helps explain the appeal of an Imperial-remnant version. The basic machine is recognizable, but the markings and worn finish place this release with later forces. Collectors who already own clone-era vehicles can compare the same kind of battlefield equipment across different periods without treating the paint scheme as the only thing that matters.

At sixth scale, the exposed seat also makes the driver part of the vehicle's appearance. You can see the figure sitting above the legs rather than losing it behind a cockpit hatch. That is the reason to compare the walker-only release with the figure-and-walker set carefully. A similarly named AT-AT Driver is a separate product; it should not be assumed to be the rider supplied with this set.

AT-RT and AT-ST are different walkers

The similar names can make Star Wars walker listings confusing. An AT-RT is the small, open machine designed for a single rider. The familiar AT-ST has an enclosed cabin. Both use two legs, but that does not make one a different edition of the other. A collector searching for the vehicle in a particular scene should identify the cockpit and rider arrangement before comparing prices or dimensions.

Lucasfilm describes the AT-RT as a reconnaissance vehicle that remains heavily armed. The exposed seat fits that lighter scouting role. It also means the driver is a visible part of the model from nearly every direction, unlike a crew member hidden inside an enclosed walker.

For the combined set, the most useful product photograph shows the driver seated with both hands and feet in place. That demonstrates the intended relationship between figure and vehicle more clearly than separate photographs of each. The rider should look supported by the machine, with the controls within reach, rather than balanced above it only for the camera.

The walker-only option serves someone who already has a compatible plan for the rider or wants the machine by itself. The combined package answers a different need by supplying the specific driver. Those are purchasing choices within this release; they do not change the AT-RT into a larger Imperial walker or imply compatibility with every figure wearing white armor.
