The blue-trimmed suit makes this a specific version of Natasha Romanoff. The red gauntlets, Avengers belt detail and short red bob belong together, and the light-up stripes give the costume a feature that remains visible even in a straightforward standing pose. Collectors building around this film can pair her with the Hot Toys Iron Man Mark XLIII 2.0. The two costumes put them on the same Avengers shelf without mixing looks from different films.

What Changed From the Earlier MMS288?

The original Age of Ultron Black Widow, MMS288, already used implanted hair. Rooted hair alone therefore is not the difference between the two releases. For MMS925AE, Hot Toys specifies wool for the wavy bob, separate rolling eyeballs, an illuminated suit and a magnetic base. Those are concrete features to weigh if you own the older figure. The original listing described blue costume highlights and a conventional branded stand; it did not list the new suit lighting or adjustable eyes.

The sculpt deserves a side-by-side look as well. Compare the eye area, mouth and hair silhouette in the close-up photos, rather than judging only the brighter costume. The older figure’s accessory list was already substantial, including batons, firearms and electrical effects. This update makes more sense as a decision about the portrait, lighting and display system than as a simple count of how many weapons are in the box.

Wool Hair and Movable Eyes

Hot Toys identifies the implanted hair as wool and styles it into a mid-length wavy bob. The front and side photographs are useful here: they show the parting, the curls around the cheek and how much of the face remains exposed. Those details can change the impression of a likeness just as much as the painted sculpt underneath. A close portrait photo also makes a better reference for your preferred hairstyle than a distant full-body shot.

Separate rolling eyeballs let you change her gaze without relying entirely on neck rotation. For a baton pose, the eyes can follow the direction of the leading hand; in a quiet standing pose, a small sideways glance gives you another option without rebuilding the stance. The eyes are particularly useful with a short bob: you can alter her expression while keeping the carefully arranged curls in the position you prefer.

The Suit Lights Up; the Blue Effects Are Separate

The LED feature is in the suit’s blue stripes along the arms and sides. The gauntlet effects are described as transparent blue accessory pieces, and the manufacturer does not list lighting inside either those effects or the batons. That distinction matters if you expect every blue detail in the promotional photographs to glow by itself. Cabinet lighting will still affect how the transparent pieces look.

A powered shelf needs a USB-C lead with enough slack to reach the figure comfortably. The connection point and power-source requirements should be checked against the finished instructions. Even with the lights switched off, the blue lines remain part of the costume, so you can choose between an illuminated display and a simpler arrangement without a trailing cable.

Two Baton Lengths, Four Pairs of Hands

The extended and retracted batons are separate listed pairs. They are not described as telescoping weapons. You can choose the longer silhouettes for combat photographs or the shorter pieces for a less crowded arrangement. The dedicated baton hands and gun hands also have different jobs; using the intended grip should be your starting point rather than forcing an accessory into whichever hand is already fitted.

All eight hands are gloved: fists, relaxed hands, gun grips and baton grips. The pistol has a thigh holster, while the compact dagger attaches to the belt. These storage details allow an armed display without putting every weapon in her hands at once. The rifle provides another look, but a gun pose and an electrical-effect pose need not be combined. Picking one main action keeps the face and costume easier to see.

The Avengers Base and a Natural Stance

The Avengers base includes a character nameplate and is described by Hot Toys as magnetic. The full-body photos show how it looks under the boots, which is useful when comparing it with the stands already on your shelf. Its low-profile presentation keeps attention on the boots and suit, rather than adding a large piece of scenery beneath her.

For a standing display, start with the hips level, soften the knees slightly and bring one shoulder forward. That gives the rifle or baton a direction without needing a deep crouch. The official photographs offer several useful references, from the relaxed front view to the wider two-baton stance. The body has 28 points of articulation, but the finished costume will still govern the practical range of movement.

What the Artisan Allocation Means

Hot Toys states that 3,000 units will be available in selected markets. That is the announced run across selected markets; it is not a US-only allocation. Retailer availability and deposit terms will matter more to an actual order than the headline quantity. Check that the listing identifies MMS925AE, since older Black Widow Artisan releases use different costumes and model numbers.
